I write to keep from going completely insane, I draw and paint out of shear boredom, and I take pictures of things I find beautiful. I don't expect understanding. I don't think I understand half of what my favorite poet, Poe, was tried to convey, but his works are beautiful. I hope that at least some of my words might help others to break out of their shell and use whatever talenet they possess to ease their emotional pain or help the pain of others.....
Bio: (in short)
Once upon a frosty, December night, 1973, in Nurnberg, Germany, a young couple welcomed an early, yet expected child. (Me) They named her Brandi Joy not because of the joy of childbirth, but because of the joy they looked forward to raising their new daughter. (Little did they know)
Brandi's dad was in the Army and her mom stayed home to look after her. They moved around quite a bit. When Brandi was 2 the family left Germany and came back to the US of A to Ft. Bragg, NC where her brother Brian was born. At 6 they headed for Ft. Leavenworth, KS. At the age of 7 it was off to Atlanta, GA. The family spent four great years there. Brandi started the third grade and was once again uprooted after the sixth grade. The next destination was Ft. Knox, Ky where Brandi met some of her most treasured friends to whom she still talks whenever possible. By the age of 13 Brandi was at a point in her life where all she wanted was to remain in one place, but at 14 the family once again left their post and moved to Korea. At 15 Brandi's father finally transplanted the family at Ft. Rucker, AL where she had extended family and finally made friendships that have lasted through the years.
Brandi went to Enterprise high School and graduated in 1992. She had had her first child in 1991 (Marah) so graduation was a proud day for her as well as for her family. After high school she went to Jr College. Between having another child in 1995 (Skyla), marriage, and divorce she finally graduated college with an AS degree.
Since the age of 22 Brandi has moved around from Alabama to Florida, to Washington, and at age 32 currently resides in Enterprise, Alabama where her children go to school, have their own friends and Brandi is content with her life.
The moral of this story, if you can call it that is: Everyone has a Destiny in life. It may not present itself at 20 or 30, if ever it does. Just knowing that life has meaning and that all of Earth's children have a purpose, makes every "hill and mountain" a little easier to climb. Bright Blessings and may the stars smile upon you and yours.
